The tax landscape is loud. Not all advice applies to you.
Between automated IRS notices, social media advice, aggressive marketing, and outright scams, it’s harder than ever to know what applies to your situation.
Perhaps I can help with that.
Checkpoint01
Start Here.
Checkpoint 01 is a short conversation where we figure out where you stand, what your options are, and if I'm the right person to help.
-
We'll talk through what's bringing you in.
I'll tell you what I think needs attention.
You'll know what questions still need answering.
If you don't need my help, I'll tell you that too.
Tax Decipher
Decode the chaos. Stay Off the radar.
Tax Decipher is about giving you ownership of your return, not just a completed one.
Taxes don't have to stay a mystery. That's why I call it Tax Decipher. Whether I'm preparing your return, reviewing one you've already completed, answering a question, or helping you work through it yourself, the goal is the same.
You should always know what you are signing.
And if your questions start after the return is filed, that's okay too. Tax Decipher also includes help making sense of IRS notices, letters, and the next steps when something doesn't go as planned.
-
Tax preparation, review, or guidance based on what you need.
Straight answers in plain English.
A return you understand before you sign it.
Ongoing help if questions come up later.
Someone in your corner if the IRS comes calling.
De-Program
Build a plan before the next emergency makes it for you.
Most of us inherit habits, priorities, and ideas about money without ever questioning where they came from. From family. From advertising. From fear. From whatever season of life we happen to be in.
That's the programming.
De-Program is a chance to stop running on autopilot. To take inventory. To ask what still serves you and what doesn't. Then start building systems that work for you instead of against you.
De-Program came from years of sitting across the tax desk from people trying to make sense of their finances. I've watched people carry debt they couldn't explain, contribute to retirement accounts they didn't understand, ignore their credit because they were afraid to look, and sign paperwork without knowing what it meant.
Awareness comes first. That's what De-Program is for.
Delete Exploitative Programming.
-
Organize the paperwork that's been piling up.
A financial autopsy: debt, bills, subscriptions, and recurring expenses.
Review the systems that protect and support your financial life.
Simplify the systems you rely on every day.
Identify small changes that reduce stress and increase control.
Why I Do This
This work is grounded in more than training.
I spent 12 years working for a large retail tax chain before moving into VITA, an IRS program that provides free tax preparation to low-income individuals and families. For five years, I managed a VITA site, training volunteers who prepared returns at no cost to taxpayers. I eventually returned to retail tax preparation for another two years, but I came back with a very different perspective. Ultimately, I decided to build my own practice and do the work my own way. Those experiences shaped how I think about tax preparation, what people actually need help with and what that help should look like.
I've also lived through financial disruption from the inside. Instability, hard resets and the slow process of putting things back together. That experience shapes how I work and how I show up for clients.
Complexity doesn't have to stay complicated and you shouldn’t have to figure it all out alone.
